Object Detail

garden seat in the Gothic style cast in five sections: back, sides (2), seat, front rail. The back is cast in a repeating diamond trellis pattern with enclosed quatrefoil motif of four conjoined circles. It measures just under 6 feet in length.the sides are shaped and utilize a semi- circular form . The arm rests terminate in plain wrought legs which flare out at the foot. The front rail is of a repeating curvilinear form which is embellished with a series of pointed sections, punctuating the open areas.the seat is of rectangular form with a perforated patterned narrow border and hexagonal honey-comb patterned central section. The whole is bolted together and a stretcher rod runs between the two ends, providing greater stability. [Broadway notes states this description is "not this"]
