Description
figure group, Shoemaker, based upon groups modelled at Sevres by Etienne Maurice Falconet (1716-1791) who, in turn, was inspired, it is believed, by paintings by, or engravings after, Francois Boucher. A group of such images undre the title of La Toilette are judged to have been the source.
