Object Detail
Description
double egg cup, with an unidentified scene of cattle drinking from a stream, in the foreground with a church or castle in the background.
The pattern has some similarities to a pattern called St Alban’s Abbey, Hertfordshire but lacks the gentleman on horseback attending the cattle. The large and small egg cups have a floral motif below the interior rim and the exterior of the small egg cup is printed in an underglaze blue Chinese style border pattern.
