Description
rug, knotted pile,"This small rug has all the design hallmarks of carpets from the long tradition of Persian court weaving, a central medallion and corner design syetrical around its horizontal axis and its vertical axis. A field filled with small floral sprays; a dramatic main border dominated by a scrolling vine form reminiscent of the cloud-band motifs of Central Asian origin that became popular in the Persian design repertoire of the 14th century"
