figure group gentleman mounted on a white horse facing to left. He wears a blue coat with gilt decoration, a tricorn hat, yellow stockings and patterned waistcoat. He brandishes a pistol in his right hand and holds the reins in his left. Based on Ainsworth's novel Rockwood which was followed by a spate of theatrical productions
