Object Detail


Description
table, oval, border inlaid with boxwood or fruitwood into which carnations or pinks have been engraved with penwork which appear to have originally been coloured with red pigment. Fine featherwork detail above drawers. The square tapering legs are similarly inlaid and are surmounted with paterae; the drawer front is inlaid with scrolled foliage. The feet are furnished with castors and the flaps operate by means of a rule-joint. Mahogany drawer linings. Original patina.
