Object Detail
Description
tea cup and dish, fluted, decorated with underglaze blue border and painted with butterflies and stylised fruit. The centre of the dish and the bottom of the cup with a landscape. Gold scroll work and a dentil rim. From a service made for Lord Henry Thynne, Earl of Dalhousie circa 1770. The pattern is known by this name, the Earl Dalhousie pattern.
