Object Detail


Description
chest on chest, nine-drawer, concave moulded overhanging cornice top. A narrow crossbanded apron beneath. three small drawers to the top row and three full width drawers complete the top section. Chamfered reeded pilasters to either side. A concave moulded top rail to the base, with a full width brushing slide beneath. three full width drawers, each tapering in size, to the base part. A moulded base rail to shaped corner bracket feet. Later added brass drop handles and replaced escutcheons to keyholes. Replaced knobs to the brushing slide. Some original iron locks to the drawers.
