Description
plate, armorial of circular form with a scalloped rim, having rococo scrolls in gilt and iron red, and bearing and the arms of Mackintosh of that ilk beaneth their crest and motto "Touch not the cat but a glove". From a service made for Angus Mackintosh, the 22nd chief of the Clan, who married Anne Farquharson, circa 1755.
