Object Detail


Description
sewing box, rectangular, of sarcophagus form, gadrooned rims to top and bottom, a faceted, hinged lid, turned handles to sides and four carved feet. The box of rosewood is inlaid on the front fact and the lid with brass in the form of scrolled foliage. The interior retains no fittings and has been lined with a decorative paper. A makeshift storage area has been added inside the lid
