Description
settee with overall floral decoration, the arched cresting with vertical baluster turned spindles, scrolled arms, caned serpentine seat on turned splayed legs joined by stretchers. Wooden triple-chair-backed settee with four turned and shaped legs to the front, stretchers and scrolled arms. The backs of "balloon back"-type with turned bar splats. Caned seat. Painted, mother-of-pearl inlaid and gilded decoration. Four plain, shaped legs to rear. Includes long seat cushion, brown/gold figured fabric, piped and buttoned, made for settee at unknown date by unknown person.

Beneath settee an adhered label printed with "No. 505" and another printed with " "; painted numbers "2", "3" and "4" appear under rear seat rail; incised "II" on rear seat rail and on one cross-piece.
