Inscriptions
Maker: JM LS with star in a lozenge. Also the head of a Greek woman with the number “1” — a mark of the Association of Gold and Silversmiths (Les Corporations d’Orfèvres) and used between 1794-1797. tardy (International Hallmarks on Silver) 1993, English edn, p188, states that although of no value as a guarantee, this mark is found 50 years later on some Paris objects.
