Description
chair, pair, Louis XVI style, framed broad oval backs upholstered and decorated with a carved flower wreath crest with a torch, and a ribbon tied reeded border. Outward curving arms carved with acanthus leaves. Rounded seat has tied wreath borders. Chair legs have spiral fluting with husks, and patera on the knees. Upholstered in (original) hand-worked gros-point and petit-point with floral designs.
