Object Detail


Description
mask jug of largest of three sizes generally made. The body of the jug is moulded with cabbage leaves and the cylindrical neck is decorated with a moulded frieze of geometrically arranged leaves. The spout features a bearded mask head of a type associated with Worcester rather than Caughley productions.
The transfer printed decoration comprises the popular "Pine Cone Pattern" on the front and fairly standard flower sprays to the sides, fruit and flower sprays tied with ribbon at the neck. Ornate C scrolled handle.
