Description
plate with scalloped rim and condiment ledge, decorated with flowers, leaves and a caterpillar. The rim of the plate is painted brown in imitation of the Chinese practise of disguising the extremities of a vessel which often burned in the kiln. three stilt marks are located beneath the base. The base is marked with a painted red anchor.
