Description
pedestal kettle on stand. in an oval shape mounted with a horizontal spout and tap, the tap with a wooden revolving handle. The kettle with a fixed handle covered with reed, with a removable lid mounted with a bone handle and silver finial, the lid engraved with a crown and hoof motif, the body engraved to one side with a (probably) contemporary coat of arms, the kettle rests on afitted oval stand with four hoof feet supporting a central removable double wick burner, the top and side of the burner engraved with a crown and a hoof motif, by John Schofield made in London 1795.
