Description
fan with ivory sticks carved with oriental scenes including people, buildings, plants and flowers, a silk and metal thread tassel. Fan is paper, painted both sides with the oriental scene the lacquered box with gold painted scene of two Oriental figures, seated in the landscape plus flowers and leaves. Box lined with paper, fuschia coloured, inside lid paper is painted with flowers (peonies?) and a bird. Inside the box the base is shaped to hold the fan.
