Description
figure group, Astronomy and Geometry, bisque porcelain, modelled as two putti, one seated holding a spyglass to his eye, the other standing beside a celestial globe measuring it with a pair of dividers. The figure group is part of a set of seven figure groups in Derby’s bisque porcelain representing the Arts and Sciences are each modelled as two putti on a rocky base, demonstrating each attribute.
