Object Detail
Description
ball, temari Christmas decoration. "These balls we inspired by a Worcester Imari pattern plate. Polystyrene balls were scored into segments with a craft knife, creating a crevice for the insertion of fabric pieces. Japanese fabrics, some antique and some new ”chririmen” fabrics, we then cut and inserted into the scored balls using a special Japanese tool, then the Japanese cord was affixed over the joins.
